The 2026-2027 Ohana Troupe Experience
Welcome to a new season of Performance Troupe! We have redesigned our program to offer a more structured, objective, and supportive environment for our dancers to shine. Our new model focuses on intensive summer learning followed by consistent, weekly coaching to ensure every routine reaches its highest potential.
Choosing Your Path: The Two-Track System
- The Winter Showcase “Intro” Track:
- Specifically designed for 1st and 2nd-year Troupe dancers. This track focuses on building a strong foundation and culminates in our Winter Showcase performance.
- The Full Season “Showcase” Track: Designed for our veteran dancers (3+ years of Troupe experience). This track provides a year-long experience culminating in our 11th Annual Performance Showcase.

Winter Showcase Intro Track

The “Troupe Block” Rehearsal Model
We are moving away from “squeezed-in” rehearsals to a more professional, dedicated format:
- Summer Intensive Learning: All choreography is taught during a dedicated 4-hour summer block. This allows dancers to immerse themselves in the movement without the distractions of the busy school year.
- Weekly Coaching Blocks: During the season, dancers will attend a designated 45-minute “Troupe Block” each week. Led by an Ohana instructor, this time is dedicated to cleaning the routine, receiving notes, and fine-tuning performance quality.
- Collaborative Growth: Progress videos will be shared with the original choreographer throughout the year, ensuring the artistic vision stays true while the dancer grows.

- Dancers MUST have had at least 2 years of troupe experience to be in Showcase Troupe.
- 20 spots available for Showcase Troupe
- Must be a 26-27 registered dancer.
- All troupe dancers are required to take (1) class in the same style as their troupe routine.
- All troupe dancers are required to take a ballet or technique class.
- Showcase troupe dancers will perform in one of Ohana’s 11th Annual Performance Showcases.
Objective Evaluations & Goals
To provide a clear and fair roadmap for success, every routine comes with a Performance & Skills Goal Sheet. Choreographers will set:
- 3 Performance Goals (e.g., stage presence, energy, and expression).
- 3 Technical Skills Goals (e.g., specific turns, flexibility, or footwork).
By the Holiday Wishes performance, dancers will receive an evaluation based on these 6 goals. For those on the Intro Track, achieving all 6 goals serves as their invitation to continue through the spring for our 11th Annual Performance Showcase!

Important Enrollment Details
Instructor Assignments:
When signing up, dancers may list their top three instructor choices in order of preference. While we do our best to honor requests, assignments are made based on instructor availability and scheduling to ensure every dancer receives the best possible experience and every instructor has a manageable schedule.
Cancellation Protection:
Because choreography is delivered in full during the Summer Intensive, if a student withdraws before the end of the season, the remaining balance of the Summer Choreography fee is due immediately.
Please note: Down payment is due no later than June 20th, 2026 to secure your spot.
